Nutty Chili

  • Dried beans (any variety)

  • ½ cup dried beans (any variety)

    2 cloves garlic, minced

    2 tbsp peanut butter

    ¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese

    1 ½ cups water

    Seasonings (to taste):

    • Bay leaves

    • Cayenne

    • Chili powder

    • Garlic powder

    • Italian seasoning

  • 1 cup dried beans (any variety)

    4 tbsp peanut butter

    ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

    3 cups water

    Seasonings (to taste):

    • Bay leaves (1-2 leaves)

    • Cayenne (¼ - ½ tsp, depending on spice preference)

    • Chili powder (1 tsp)

    • Garlic powder (½ - 1 tsp)

    • Italian seasoning (½ - 1 tsp)

  • 1 ½ cups dried beans (any variety)

    6 cloves garlic, minced

    6 tbsp peanut butter

    ¾ cup shredded cheddar cheese

    4 ½ cups water

    Seasonings (to taste):

    • Bay leaves (2-3 leaves)

    • Cayenne (½ - ¾ tsp, depending on spice preference)

    • Chili powder (1 ½ tsp)

    • Garlic powder (1 - 1 ½ tsp)

    • Italian seasoning (1 - 1 ½ tsp)

Instructions

  1. Place tomatoes, water, garlic, and bay leaves into a pot and bring to a simmer over high heat.

  2. After 15 minutes add pre-soaked beans. Cover the pot and let simmer until beans reach desired tenderness.

  3. Stir in peanut butter until dissolved and remove the bay leaf. Season to taste. Add desired shredded cheese.

  4. Serve and enjoy!!
