Walnut and Raisin Energy Bars

  • Ingredients for 16 Servings

    1 cup quick-cooking oats

    1 cup bran flake cereal

    ¼ cup whole-wheat flour

    1 cup walnuts, chopped

    1 ½ cups raisins

    ½ teaspoon cinnamon

    ¼ cup honey*

    2 large eggs, beaten

  • Directions

    1 Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

    2 Coat a 9 × 13-inch baking pan with cooking spray.

    3 In a large bowl, combine all of the dry ingredients and mix well.

    4 Stir in the honey and the eggs.

    5 Pour the mixture into the baking pan and spread evenly with a spatula.

    6 Bake until light brown, about 15 to 20 minutes.

    7 Let cool in the pan and cut into 16 bars.

    *Do not serve honey to infants younger than 1 year of age.
