PB & J French Toast

Ingredients

  • Peanut butter

  • Jelly

  • Sliced bread

  • Large eggs

  • Milk

  • Powdered sugar and/or maple syrup

Optional: Fresh fruit and chopped nuts

Serving Sizes

  • Spoonful of peanut butter

    Spoonful of jelly

    2 slices bread

    1 large egg

    1/4 cup milk

    Powdered sugar and/or maple syrup

    Optional: sliced strawberries and chopped nuts

  • 1/4 cup peanut butter

    1/4 cup jelly

    8 slices bread

    2 large eggs

    1/2 cup milk

    Powdered sugar and/or maple syrup

    Optional: sliced strawberries and chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Spread peanut butter and jelly over 4 slices of bread. Top with remaining bread. In a shallow bowl, whisk eggs and milk until blended.

  2. ​On a griddle, melt butter over medium heat. Dip both sides of sandwiches in egg mixture. Place on griddle; toast 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown. If desired, top with strawberries and peanuts. Dust with confectioners' sugar or serve with maple syrup.
