  • In your crate

    Cooked chicken

    Mixed vegetables

    Bouillon

    Dumpling batter

  • Recommended cooking utensils

Large pot (for cooking the soup)

Wooden spoon or spatula (for stirring the soup and batter)

Mixing bowl (for preparing the dumpling batter)

Measuring cup (for adding water to the dumpling batter and soup)

Spoon (for scooping the dumpling batter into the soup)

Ladle (for serving the dumpling soup)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, add water (about one cup per serving), seasonal veggies and chicken. Bring to a boil and reduce heat. This will help tenderize the vegetables. Add more water as needed.

  2. Once the vegetables are tender, add in your bouillon and give it a good stir. Let that simmer while you prepare your dumplings.

  3. For the dumplings, take a bowl and empty the flour and baking powder mix. Slowly add water (a tablespoon at a time) and mix to form a paste that flows well. Add a pinch of salt and mix.

  4. Add a spoonful of dumpling batter with a spoon to the boiling soup. Simmer until the dumplings are cooked (about 10 minutes). Add water to maintain soup consistency.

  5. Serve and enjoy!!
